6- and 7-Month Assessments: VISUAL

During the 6-month and 7-month assessments, an experimenter will hold your child in front of a screen displaying various visual patterns. The experimenter will watch your infant's head-turning behavior and gaze direction to determine where s/he is looking. From these observations we can infer what your infant is capable of seeing, as well as preferences s/he may have for one visual pattern over another. This assessment provides us with information about the neural development of your infant's visual system.

Visits Requested: 3-5, for 1 hour each

Location: The Infant Vision Lab at UCSD in La Jolla (McGill Hall, Rm. 3118)
